A New Chapter in My Journey

Today I begin a new chapter in my professional and personal journey. After more than twenty years of serving communities in India through Gyansanjeevani Clinics, group programmes, and practice-based research, I have now taken up the role of Medical Director and Lead Partner at BioWellness Care (UK).

This chapter is not simply about relocation; it is about expansion. It is about carrying forward the lessons, trust, and traditions I have nurtured, and weaving them into a new fabric that meets the needs of communities here in the UK. It is about recognising that health does not live only in the consultation room, but also in families, schools, neighbourhoods, and workplaces.

Through BioWellness Care, I will be leading integrative consultations that connect homeopathy, nutrition, and mind–body therapeutics with safe, joined-up care alongside GP and specialist teams. Alongside this, our BioWellness Care+ programmes will extend support into the community — from allergy and respiratory pathways, to women’s balance circles, metabolic reset plans, and family resilience groups. My aim is to design care that is not only clinically sound but also culturally responsive, accessible, and accountable.

This chapter also builds on research. As lead for the UK–India Joint Research Initiative, I will continue to anchor practice-based evidence, turning patient stories into measurable outcomes and policy-relevant findings. By linking pilots in Leicester or Birmingham with partners in Delhi and Jaipur, I believe we can show how local innovation can inform global health conversations.

I also carry with me the deep conviction that families are central to wellbeing. Whether it is supporting a parent through addiction recovery, helping children build emotional resilience, or creating tools for carers who give tirelessly every day — these are the sparks that move society forward. My responsibility now is to ensure those sparks become structured, sustainable, and scalable.

This new chapter is therefore not mine alone. It belongs to every patient who shares their story, every practitioner who contributes their skill, every partner who commits to testing new models, and every policymaker willing to place evidence into action.

I invite you — whether you are a patient, a colleague, a researcher, or a commissioner — to be part of this journey. Together, we can create care that is personal, inclusive, and truly transformative.

With gratitude and purpose,
Dr Sadhana Sharma, MD (Hom)
